Outlander - L'ultimo vichingo

Malgrado il caldo che obnubila i sensi, non può sfuggire neanche all’attenzione dei meno smaliziati fra quelli che, aperto il giornale, scorrono con l'indice l’elenco dei film quanto quell’aggiunta italiana, “ L’ultimo vichingo ”, all’originale Outlander possa prestare il fianco allo scetticismo: nella stagione in cui è più facile smerciare le giacenze di magazzino, l’assonanza con il megasuccesso, datato 1986, Highlander: L’ultimo immortale potrebbe in fact the prelude to the bin with fluency, among other things hidden (or shown?) from a poster at the impact of discrete Conan the Barbarian. Surprisingly, however, the onset on the white sheet of Howard McCain, former director of award-winning short films and long for television, does not endorse the worst even under a screenplay that manages to effectively bypass the shallows of an inspiration from too liable in respect of the two protagonists in stories with real monsters (in all senses) of the sacred science fiction films: Alien and Predator.
Planet Earth, the year 709 AD: Kainan (James Caviezel as decisive) is an alien whose spaceship going to sink in Norwegian waters. His companion Travel perish in the accident and there is no trace of Moorwen, a creature that feeds on destruction and that smuggling on board, caused the malfunction of the controls.
Captured by a tribe of Vikings under the command of King Rothgar, Kainan, whose human features do not betray their origin, must demonstrate, with many suffering, not a threat to the life of the community and, once agreed to ' inside it, organize the trap to put an end to the massacres perpetrated by Moorwen.
McCain's complicity with the spectator turn facilitating a dramatic progression ambitions unfettered by copyright and that makes a script stand out even more, although apparently not first-hand, as already mentioned, manages to save a few 'had' - see the real identity of Kainan, which is never revealed to his new companions in life as well as the beautiful and very talented in the use of weapons Freya, daughter of Rothgar, with whom he falls in love, reciprocated - and strike up a system of instant learning of human culture of the period for use and consumption of the host from another planet would be hard to imagine more painful.
